Holy Week in the province are Festivals of Importance for Tourism in Andalusia.
This almost legendary custom finds one of its most memorable and singular settings in the city and province of Cordoba. That is why the regional government of Andalusia has declared that thirteen of the Holy Week celebrations held in the province are Festivals of Importance for Tourism in Andalusia.
Of these, the festivals of three towns – Cabra, Puente Genil and Baena – are also considered Festivals of Importance of National Tourism. A great variety of stunning images dot the landscape of Cordoba province during the Holy Week festivities, which stand out for their ability to dazzle visitors. Spectators are amazed by the artistic quality of the images that are paraded through the streets of every town, and equally amazed by the people who make this festivity so special.
