Bullfighting Museum

The Bullfighting Museum is housed in what was formerly known as the Casa de las Bulas, a magnificent building dating back to the 16th century.

Amidst a beautiful framework of patios and halls, it contains a library of publications on bullfighting, bulls’ heads, famous horses, sculptures, paintings and photographs from the world of bullfighting.

The museum also houses rooms dedicated to mythical figures within Cordoba’s bullfighting history, such as Lagartijo, Guerrita, Machaquito and Manolete, along with a section dedicated to the magnificent rejoneador [mounted bullfighter] Antonio Cañero.

Cordoba is the birthplace of many great bullfighters, and a trip to the museum must be included on any itinerary.
