The various archaeological digs that were carried out at the Cercadilla site from 1991 have uncovered a magnificent architectural complex constructed between the end of the 3rd century and the beginning of the 4th century A.D. (293 – 305 A.D.).
Visits display the archaeological remains integrated in the Bus Station (aqueduct, mosque and caliphal house), as well as those existing next to the RENFE train station at different phases, including recent finds that were uncovered in the digs that took place between 1997 and 1999 (caliphal poor quarter, Mozarabic necropolis, structures linked to the imperial palace).
