The old Convento de Santa Clara, which lies close to the parish church of la Asunción, was founded in the early 16th century, although the church, which possesses a single nave and octagonal apse covered with a cupola, was reconstructed in the eighteenth century, when the beautiful belfry was added.
A Mudejar cloister of double arches is accessed via the low chorister: the lower level boasts canted arches with curious capitals, whilst the upper level consists of lowered arches.
