This spectacular archaeological site has been officially declared to be of Cultural Interest (BIC) and dates back to between the 1st and the 6th centuries AD, today constituting one of the finest examples of a Roman rural settlement in the entire Iberian Peninsula.
It boasts agricultural and productive buildings (presses, oil mills, silos, water deposits, ceramic ovens… ), along with the residential dwellings where the owners lived, possessing a singular wealth in terms of mosaics, wall paintings, reception rooms and a surprising collection of sculptures, all of which are associated with an extensive necropolis.
