The Ermita de Ntro. Padre Jesús de la Penas, which specialists consider to be one of the best examples of a Baroque church in the area, dates back to the first quarter of the 18th century and possesses a Latin-cross plan, wherein the cross aisle covers a bright and colourful cupola decorated by polychromatic plasterwork.
During the same century seven altarpieces were sculpted, including the raised altarpiece, with a camarin [room where jewels etc belonging to a statue of the Virgin are kept] that houses Jesús de las Penas, a bust of Ecce Homo.
