At the entrance to the municipality of Villanueva del Rey we find the Ermita de Santiago, a chapel that was erected in the early 20th century.
The temple has a single nave and squared apse, and is laid out in the fashion of most churches in the sierra.
The chapel is dedicated to the patron saint of the town, Santiago el Menor.
