Iberian Settlement on “El Cerro de la Cruz”

The settlement has been officially declared to be of Cultural Interest (BIC).

This is one of the few settlements from the Late Iberian Age that have been excavated in Andalusia, dating back to between 3rd and 2nd century BC, and constructed within large containment walls that form artificial terraces where the dwellings and work buildings are located.

Architecture and materials are well conserved (adobe and cob walls almost 2m high) within a complex and organised urban structure.
