San Andrés is another church that was founded upon the reconquest of the city.
It is said to be located on the site of the former Visigoth basilica of San Zoilo.
The primitive construction has undergone considerable reformation works over the centuries, to the point of changing the orientation of the church.
It houses an interesting historical/artistic heritage. Its tower was constructed in the last quarter of the 16th century.
It has a beautiful altarpiece from the mid 16th century, the altarpiece of the Assumption and also boasts an interesting pictorial heritage with paintings from the school of Céspedes, Antonio Monroy, Juan de Peñalosa, Antonio del Castillo, Palomino, Antonio Vela, etc.
