The Iglesia Parroquial de Santiago Apóstol de Iznájar [Parish Church] is located next to the castle, in the upper quarter of town.
It provides a clear example of Renaissance architecture in the Province of Cordoba.
Spacious and boasting a Latin-cross plan, construction of the building commenced in approximately 1550 and was concluded around 1640.
