The parish church of la Asunción presides over the landscaped Plaza de Andalucía, boasting a red stone façade with a 16th-century main doorway.
Inside, it consists of three naves with semi-circular arches supported by pillars; on the transverse arch that precedes the high chapel, which is covered with a Gothic vault, Baroque reformation work bequeathed a large decorative plaque with the emblem of Saint Peter.
