The nearby Llano de la Iglesia is presided by the slender façade of the parroquia de Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, a Gothic temple that dates back to the Reconquest, although its original aspect changed with the extension carried out from 1523 and most notably with the Baroque remodelling carried out in 1760.
It consists of three wide naves without a cross aisle, separated by pointed arches and covered with ribbed vaults.
Outside the parish church boasts a Plateresque façade from 1538, constructed in sandstone and with a very eroded appearance; the tower rises over the façade and was commenced at the beginning of the 17th century.
