On the south-eastern slope of the old quarter we find the Parroquia de San Francisco, a Franciscan convent temple constructed between the 16th and 18th centuries, which presents a beautiful play of volumes.
It has a wide vaulted nave ending in an eighteenth-century cupola and the chapels that open on the gospel side, amongst which particular attention should be drawn to the chapel of San Antonio, date from the same period.
The old capilla de las Animas, today used as the parish office, which boasts a starred Gothic vault and a Plateresque arch, represents another interesting feature.
The old convent, converted to a guest house, boasts a 16th-century cloistered patio.
