The Castle of Almodóvar del Río is located 22 km from Córdoba in the town of Almodóvar del Río. It’s situated on top of a hill with a height of 252 meters and the total area of the fort occupies about 5,628 m2.
The Castle is a military fortress of Arabic origin dating from 740 and built Arab advantage of an old building primitive times.It was extremely important in the defense of the city of Cordoba for its strategic location.
