At the Judíos street, attached to the western section of the city walls, we can find the Casa Andalusí Museum, which still has its vaulted walkway. In its basement, there is a range of archaeological remains which testify to the mixture of cultures that took place in this city. Its structure suggests that it was an important Islamic house, with walls built from a mixture of bricks and stones. Reconverted to a house-museum, the Casa Andalusí recreates the intimate feeling of Spanish Moorish houses, as showing a model of one of the first paper factories in the West.
